What is Conscious Breathwork?
Conscious Breathwork is a guided journey that enables you to explore within, transcend your ego, open your heart, and safely alter your state of consciousness for healing.
At a bare minimum, you will have a super charged meditation that provides great clarity and stress relief. On the other side of the spectrum, there are an infinite amount of possibilities including a sense of oneness, emotional release, trauma healing, bliss, transformation, visions, and much more.
This breathwork moves a lot of energy in your body to help you heal emotionally and physically. When it’s accompanied by the sound frequencies of crystal singing bowls, gongs and chimes, it permeates every cell of your body, bringing emotional, mental and physical relief, while putting the brain into a meditative state.
Breathing is one of the body’s few functions that happens both automatically and voluntarily. Breathwork as any practice that manipulates the breath. By manipulating the breath through targeted breathwork techniques, we can access a multitude of physiological and psychological benefits. Some have been studied in clinical settings, others are more anecdotal and occur on an emotional level. Some benefits include decreasing anxiety and better sleep.

How Does it Help Your Mind and Body?
It reduces stress in the body
One of the biggest benefits to gain from practicing breathwork, which includes simple deep belly breathing, is stress reduction. When you practice diaphragmatic breathing, you activate your parasympathetic nervous system and go into the ‘rest and digest’ mode, which helps lower your blood pressure and cortisol levels. Mindful breathing can also reduce the size of the amygdala, which promotes stress reduction effects. The amygdala is the part of the brain that detects if you are in danger and activates the fight or flight response.
It helps manage depression & anxiety
Many people who seek out breathwork often deal with depression or anxiety. The shift in their anxiety levels and the depression starts to lift. There’s plenty of research that backs this up. A recent study found that after three months of active breathing, you can significantly reduce anxious and depressive symptoms and can also be used as a way to help treat PTSD.
It can help to reduce inflammation
Chronic stress has been linked to an increase of inflammation in the body, which is associated with conditions like diabetes, heart disease, stress, depression, and a weakened immune system.
What you need to know before trying breathwork?
