Mindfulness Workshop 5-2021

What is Mindfulness?

Online Workshop Thursday, May 20, 2021, 7:00-8:30 PM CST.  Please check your time zone for your area.

“Mindfulness is the awareness that arises from paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgmentally”. Dr. John Kabat Zin

Mindfulness is paying attention on purpose to the present without judgement. It is a state of being in which you learn to have more control over your thoughts and feelings by purposely practicing simple techniques and exercises. When we think and live more mindfully we live more in the present. We feel less stressed, more content and more at peace.

What happens when I practice mindfulness? You become more aware of your surroundings and connect more with yourself. You begin to observe and question your thinking and then respond, instead of believing everything that comes into your head and just reacting. Improving this skill has a positive impact on every area of your life!

I will show you techniques and exercises that the scientific community has been sharing with us that help you to train your brain to respond more positively. I’ll also discuss the various ways you can use mindfulness to help with anxiety, processing and regulating strong emotions, and having more control over your thought process.

After my presentation we will have a Q&A session where I’ll answer any questions and you will be able to share your experiences or interest in mindfulness. Afterward, I’ll end the session with a 10-minute meditation.

Register to hold your space and you’ll receive an email with access to the event.

Looking forward to seeing you there. 🙂

Namaste!
